The Architectural Archives Committee, authorized by the CILF in 1984, collects, catalogs, preserves, and makes available material concerning the architectural heritage of Central Illinois. The Committee's purpose is to emphasize the permanence of its archival holdings and the continuing importance of architectural contributions to the quality of life in our area.
The Archives currently contain more than 16,500 sheets of drawings representing 765 buildings and the work of 200 different firms. Archival material includes, but is not limited to, plans, drawings, prints, notes, photographs, books and artifacts relating to structures located in or associated with Central Illinois.
